SET ME FREE: Rise and Conquer

So much  has happened and knock on my door and at times, I feels overwhelmed and a little too much on my plate to chew. Often, my 4 kids plays a big part of it. But my kids will always comes first no matter what, simply because I am a mother before an artist. Wearable Art Mandurah is known to be the most prestige platform in Australia for wearable art artists to showcase their work. This year, I took the initiative to try my hand for the first time submitting a garment for this competition. I consider myself as a creative person but also a risk taker. Because I believe risk allowed us to learn and grow, not only in terms of art, but also as a person. Recharge, recollect, refresh and refocus

After completing "Set Me Free" project, I was due for a break. Spending some time with my children, finishing some DIY reno at home and basically just needed to refresh, recharge and refocus.  I was asked by a close friend to do a series of Maternity photoshoot. Do you remember my "Empress At Forbidden City - Wu Zhou Dynasty" paper garment? There was a beautiful tall brunette paraded the piece at Burnie Art and Function Centre couple years ago. Her name is Cassy.  Cassy is soon expecting her first child. I remember my first pregnancy. If you are a mother, I am certain that your first pregnancy was the most memorable and unforgettable one. Because we simply do not know what to expect. How our life will completely change once we brought new life into this world, our world.  I have told many that I am no longer taking paid photography session or makeup & hair session. Coming in to 2021, we are still in the battle of the unprecedented event of Coronavirus.  I am no different than many; has been impacted by the virus. With 3 kids and a new-born at that time when the outbreak happened; things changed. As for the very basic day to day life has became a luxury and not so basic anymore. People panicking, anxious and angry at the same time, do things that they wouldn't normally do. For example the toilet paper outage incident; in my opinion, it is just unnecessary. But at a time like that, many people think that they can just do anything to make themselves  feeling  a little better and secure. It is all part of the anxiety. How should they dealt with it; what they can do to calm themselves down.  At that time I do not understand why people did things they did so selfishly. But as time
